Default Brake upgrade question

I am getting close to needing new brakes on my 2016 3.0L XJL. It seems half way through this year, they made changes to the braking system, atleast to the rear from what I can tell. I ask as I have a set of cross drilled/slotted rotors I bought for my 2012 5.0L (NA) XJ that I never got a chance to install before it got totaled. So, I am looking to use that kit on the newer car. Looking, it would appear the front rotors and pads are the same between the two cars (they both use the smaller rotors). But, are they truly the same and interchangeable? Looking at the rears, I am thinking I may be out of luck as my car is made after VIN ending in V90866. It would appear that in the middle of 2016, a change was made to the rear brakes. Is it only the rotor that is different, only the pads, both? Trying to see what is savagable from the old kit. If I have to get all new everything, so be it (hint, there will be a rotor/pad kit going up for sale). If it is only the rear that is different, then I will sell my current rear setup and get new from the same company.

I know there has been talk about this, but I cannot seem to find the right links to the info.

Thanks.

Can't help much but all I know for sure is that on the XF and the F-Type there is zero mix and match of rotors and pads, ie every different sized rotor both front and rear requires different and specific pads. So that's 326, 355 and 380 mm fronts and 326 and 376 mm rears.
Also on both the XF and F-Type updating/upsizing both front and rear rotors and pads (eg from 355 to 380 fronts and 326 to 376 rears) is a simple plug and play, but you also need to upgrade/upsize the calliper brackets and splash shields accordingly.
Pretty sure both of these things apply to the X351 XJ as well.
