Default C pillars painted to body colour.

For those that have painted the black C pillars to match the body colour of the car - could I trouble you to post some photos. My XJ is Lunar Grey.

Thanks a bunch.

I think ExpatJag has pics of his car in his profile with painted pillars.

Thanks. It was the very first thing I did when I picked up the car. I think it flows better.

I also have a Caviar XJL and want to get my C pillars painted ASAP. My Bodyshop asked what type of primer was used in order for the paint to stick properly to the hard plastic pillars?

I am not really sure. I had it done over here in Germany and I will see if I can find out. I havent had one issue with it since it was done. And that was December of 2010.

Having a bodyshop ask me what primer to use throws up all sorts of warning flags in my mind. They are supposed to be the experts. I would find another shop with more experience personally.

Thanks for the insight as that was my original thought exactly! But this has been my Bodyshop for 20 yrs and he has worked on every luxury vehicle I have owned with extreme precision. He's very partial to customizing certain areas of the vehicle where paint can eventually chip, peel or fade. Of course he had a few options but when I told him I saw it from a member on the forum he suggested I just confirm it first.
