Default Camshaft and crankshaft sensor correlation(p0016)

I have a 2011 jaguar xjl with 24,000 miles. Starts and run ok except when idle, and I am getting 2 codes p0016 and p0366, I checked timing, chains and tensioner, replace cam sensors in bank 1 and crankshaft sensor. Codes are still there and restricted performance. What could possibly be wrong and how to fix it.

The only help I can give you is that I too had a time when there was a slight rough idle and performance was not 100%. The dealer tech found a bad exhaust cam adjuster module. they replaced at and we are happy again. Sensors usually alert you to an issue and replacement may not remedy the actual situation. I will say that it took some time till the check engine light went on and that is how they could find the defective part. To get a check engine light there has to be a recurrence of the fault several times in a short period of an hour or two.

Not knowing the exact readout results I can only surmise the cam adjuster may not be working. Bear in mind that your NA V8 has a dual profile cam so the readings may be ok but get it to a dealer and tech you have confidence in.
