I just bought a 2011 Supersport. The car has a new engine with the upgraded parts. The old engine (from the previous owner) had to get replaced, and parts where moved over to the new engine block, including the old supercharger (later replaced)
The issue:
I think it drives very good, I can drive for 30-40 minutes and its reponse is good. However the car dont like to idle, either inn P og N. It can eventually give a lot of fault codes regarding misfire. Sometimes it can sit in the driveway ideling OK, with hickups once in a while, but noting major.
I have narrowed it down to two fault codes that I think triggers everything.
P0366 (Camshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance Bank 1) and P054D (Cold Start B Camshaft Position Timing Over-Retarded Bank 2)
I have been in contact with the american firm that made the engine, and they suggest bent finns/rotors on the VCT camshaft. see attached photo.
I could try to check wirering, switch camshaft sensors and camshaft solenoids from one side to the other.
I have tried filing down one camshaft sensor in hope that it can read the finn/blade better (after recommeddaton). Looking down the oil filler, the finns seems to be straigt and fine, and the chain very firm.
If the VVT's were changed over from the OEM engine they could have failed?
We have been told the these are somewhat delicate and if dropped in the factory before installation they are junked regardless. I don't know how true that is?
It is interesting that both codes reference bank "B" so maybe only change that side VVT? I don't know how expensive they are either.
What oil are you running? Jaguar changed it from 5W-20 to 0W-20 mainly because of the VVT problems. Again this has not been verified by Jaguar and we were given no official reason for the oil weight change other than the standard to reduce emissions and improve gas mileage.
The change was made back in 2018 and attached is the Jaguar "Service Compliance Notification". And no I have no idea what that means either!

The VVTs were not changed, and should be ok. No, the fault codes comes from two different banks, 1 and 2. Using 5w20 oil.
Will try to change the solenoid valves, camshaft sensors and check wiring👍
