Default Cargo Net

I can't seem to find anything by Jaguar that looks like a cargo net. The only item I did find appears to be a collapsable bag that might help restrain groceries, but I was not impressed.

Does anyone know of a source of a cargo net that will fit the 2011 XJ?

I got my cargo net from jaguarparts.com through the following link:

https://www.jaguarparts.com/catalog/...d06afbe643acdc

I hope this is what you are looking for, it is around $18.00 plus shipping. Good luck.

If you are on the Jaguar.com website, for some reason the nets are filed under "Safety & Car care" rather than "Interior accessories"

I should also warn you that the picture for the "luggage compartment courtesy net" is deceptive. I have both the floor net and 2 courtesy nets - one for each side of the trunk. The courtesy nets run along the sides of the trunk, front to back, and does not span the width of the trunk, left to right, as the website picture implies.

Also, installation of these "side" nets requires removing the liner of the trunk for installation of metal bars that support the nets. I've attached the installation instructions below. In summary though, these nets are pretty useless. Fortunately, I didn't pay for any of the nets -- I had them thrown in for free as part of the deal that I negotiated for the car. Otherwise, I'd be pretty pissed if I had paid for them. I think each net runs ~ $100 for each side.

By the way, jaguarparts.com also has the cargo hammock net that almost spans the width of the trunk for about $18.00 plus shipping. However, installation is more of a pain since trunk panels must be removed and drilled similar to the instructions in the .pdf posted by Mr. Geek above.

Good luck.

My solution for every trunked vehicle I have owned is a fold down plastic crate. Generally its filled with car stuff but otherwise I fold it flat and just leave it in the trunk. Personally find all nets difficult at best.

And I can now say from experience that it fits well at the back of the trunk.

Yet another amazing oversight by Jag on the new XJ. I think all tolled it cost me $350 to have two little side courtesy nets installed. How is it possible that you have to drill holes into the trunk to install a cargo net?? Just silly. Wish they had pre-drilled that stuff, and would love a net that ran the width of the car at the front of the trunk.

IKEA had some folding cloth storage boxes with zippered lids. The cloth bottom prevents sliding and the zippered lid hides everything. No point in refolding them because it is full of spare parts and other miscellaneous "necessities". About $5 each.

How about a rear shelf mounted tool drawer? (XJ shown)

I got a quote for about CDN$120 for the cargo floor net (P/N C2D14680) plus 0.6 hours labour to install - I admit i was surprised by the installation cost.

P/N C2D14680 is *not* the floor net -- it is the side net that I included the install instructions for in an earlier post in this thread. The side net requires removing the side panel and drilling holes for the brackets to hold the side net, hence the install labor.

For groceries and stuff, I just use a couple of cardboard boxes from Costco. They're plenty strong and hold things quite well.

Thanks for the clarification another_geek - do you happen to have the P/N for the floor net so I can set the dealer straight? I imagine the floor net leverages the existing hooks on the floor and doesn't require formal installation.

Sorry, I don't have the P/N for the floor net. I just checked my net for any numbering but couldn't find any. The reason I knew that the other P/N listed was incorrect was because when I asked for the floor net, I got the side nets instead due to an error in the parts catalog. The parts department had to re-order the correct part for me but I don't have a record of what the correct P/N was.

Does the floor net have hooks to hook on to the 4 loops in the trunk? I had one in my previous car (BMW 750) and it was very handy in holding things in place.

Yes it does. I actually roll it up and store it next to the spare tire when I'm not using it because the net kept getting caught in the zipper of my briefcase.

I can confirm another_geek's assertion about the p/n for the floor net versus side cargo nets. I ordered the floor net and got the side ones. I then ordered the net itself from another jag dealer online (mine wouldn't acknowledge it's existence) and it arrived as described.

I looked at the site and it looks like the XJ is referring to the older models. Does it work to the newest XJs?

Default Trunk/Cargo Net Part Numbers

Old thread but wanted to get the correct part numbers out there for anyone installing the trunk cargo nets.

C2D14680 is for 2 side nets. They look like this installed.

The large floor cargo net has 4 hooks and is part #C2C7363.

It looks like this;

Had a hard time running down these part numbers and as you can see several people have ordered the wrong net.

Yes I agree for an expensive car it's silly these 3 cargo nets were not standard equipment!
