Default Class Action Settlement: H419 INCONTROL TOUCH PRO (NGI) WIRED UPDATE

Until February 2026 Jaguar will update your 2016-2019 ICTP system for free. There was a class action settlement last year against JLR due to their lack of support for the infotainment system, read more about that here.

If you do not have the ability to update your system with SOTA (software over the air) within the settings menu, this applies to you and you should have an outstanding campaign listed under your VIN in Topix:

This service action is listed as ~1 hour and is handled in two steps: first they update your IMC to a version that allows SOTA updates, then they download the latest update for you. I had this done last week, it took ~6 hours. The first step takes at least an hour by itself. Just the download to the latest version can take an hour, and it’s common for it to fail which restarts the clock. However, this can be done later at home if need be; the important part is getting access to SOTA updates.

I have a 2019 XJL. I called Jaguar Service, and they said my car does not have this issue. Should I believe them? Wouldn't they know?

The GCM system will be unavailable between 11:00am - 12:00pm UK time on Wednesday 18th June 2025. To avoid data loss, please ensure all reports are submitted before 10:50am UK time. Log out of GCM whilst the system is not available.

I'll check back later to verify.

other than SOTA anyone know what the actual update improves with the infotainment system (map updates etc?)
is it worth doing even if you don't plan to use SOTA

2022 was the last release, I would not count on any future updates.
