Hello All

A new member but have watched this board for years.

The latch to the center console on my 2012 XJL no longer catches. Not sure what has happened but I think it is the spring. I believe the replacement part is #C2D6638 but I have no idea how to disassemble the center console to install.

Can this forum help me, can this be a do it yourself job?

Yes we have and if you try a search for sticky or hard to open center console you should be able to find out how to remove the necessary parts to access the latch.

 

I created a document with pictures on how to take this apart. This was for a 2011 model. Please see attachment.
