Default Correct position of XJ badge

I have bought a pre-owned XJ that came without the "XJ" badge. Now I want to add that badge at the default position on the trunk door.

Can someone please provide the correct "coordinates" for that badge, i.e. the distance from the left and lower edge of the trunk door? Please go outside and check with your folding rule

The left side of the "X" should be 3/4 inch from the trunk lid edge, the bottom of the "X" letter should be aligned with the bottoms of the "JAGUAR" letters; the top of the "J" in "XJ" should be aligned with the top of the "X", meaning the bottom of the "J" will nearly reach the horizontal crease in the trunk lid.

John

Thank you for your reply and the good description.

I should have mentioned that my XJ only has the leaper, no Jaguar letters at the trunk lid. So unfortunately I can not align to those letters. Can you (or someone else) provide the distance between the lower trunk lid edge to the lower edge of the "X", please?

Thank you very much, this will definitely help! I'm just a bit envious about your "L"

Glad to help. I have had mine for just over 4 years, it was the first, and last haha, new car I have ever had. There were no red ones available as used or demo, the time was right so I bit the bullet and went for it. I will be keeping it for a very long time and really wanted the LWB version.
It is a 3.0 diesel twin turbo and I do not think you get them offered in the US.
Enjoy your car you will love it !!
