Yeah, right ExpatJag ... this Nav can barely get us from point A to point B but you think it can sense someone in the passenger seat and disable nav-in-motion? (just playing)

If nav-in-motion is disabled at some point, it is probably based upon vehicle speed as Puma said. I don't recall what speeds we were going when the wifey did the nav inputs though.

I was curious myself so I tried this on my way home from work just now. As soon as I got over around 5-10 mph, the ability to enter in an address into the nav was disabled. However, if you have addresses stored in memory, the memory recall buttons were still enabled.

Honestly, I always use the voice commands so I don't remember if I could enter in addresses previously while moving, but I did have my car in for service just last week and had all the latest software updates applied, so the updates may have disabled this functionality.

I guess that's why I thought you could only use voice commands while in motion--I wasn't going slow enough! I haven't tried this in a long time--it might even have been before I got the software updates. I always use the voice commands--they work rather well.
