Default Courtesy Lights.

One week after my warranty ran out (XJ2011) the courtesy lights when a door is opened has packed up. Any idea where I should start to check out the fuse or circuit?

Don't you have a 5 year 50,000 mile warranty over there??

Jiffcurt,
The standard warrantee when purchased was three year.
I did a search here on the forum and found the remedy. Touch the central headline light and hold for a few seconds until it blinks to turn on auto .

My courtesy lights and puddle lights do not come on when I open door. Before anyone asks, yes it's in auto mode; ie center light touched/held for 2 plus seconds and auto mode confirmation on dash. But no courtesy and puddle lights still. Any ideas?

Forgot to mention, I have a 2012 XJL Portfolio. Additional info: glove compartment light works; vanity mirror lights work; map lights work. Everything except courtesy lights, puddle lights, and no lights to the "Jaguar" name that normally glows in blue when door is opened either. Help!!!!!!!

You could try rebooting the computer. Disconnect the battery for two minutes and then hook it back up. Be careful and make sure it doesn't spark and connect/disconnect too much before you lock it down. Surges like that aren't healthy for electronics. That's why you should never let a monkey change your battery.
