Default Cracked Rim

I have had two cracked rims from potholes from our awesome interstates. They were able to repair the first one...this one they said they can't repair. Is there anyplace to buy a reasonably priced rear rim for a 2011 XJ supercharged? The cheapest they can find is $775.

Thanks and I hate these rims.

Do you know the name Jaguar give to those wheels ? Search the internet with "Jaguar XJ <name of wheel> wheel" It worked for me to find a set of 17" last year.

That appears to be the Kasuga 20" wheel

Well, I found one in the UK for a good price, but clearly you're a long way away from it !

However it just shows what you can bring up in a few minutes. Somewhere out there in the US is your wheel sitting in a shed !!

Yes, that's Kasuga. These 20inch jag wheels bend very easily
There is a used rear one on eBay in the US for about $400. You could make them an offer
Note the rears are I believe wider than the fronts (not certain) so make sure you get the right ones

Someone was selling a brand new set of 4 as take-offs from a new car for $1400 last September. No idea if they sold. You could do that and sell the others (or keep as spares...)

The 20" rims are 9" inches on the front and 10" wide at the rear on all XJs fitted with 20" wheels.

I have a refurbished 20" Kasuga rear wheel from my XJ. PM me for details and pix if you're interested. I'll beat that eBay seller's price by $75.

Hey guys. I bought one online. It said the color was silver..I had it sent to tire discounters to have it put on...and they said it didn't match. I didn't know there were two color silvers for those rims. A chrome one and a silver that isn't as shiny. Does this sound right?

Thanks.

Kasuga wheels were available in 3 finishes: (1) painted silver (stock), and optional at additional cost (2) polished and (3) chrome. I believe the chrome finish was PVD, but I'm not positive. If the wheels on your XJ are painted and the one you just bought on eBay does not match, then there are 2 possible reasons: (1) the eBay wheel was painted the wrong color, or (2) all 4 of your wheels were previously refinished, but not in the correct color.

You will probably need to have all 4 resprayed to have them match.

Default Chrome

Thanks for the info. My rims on my car are chrome. I didn’t know there were options other than chrome...so I saw where this one I bought from an online dealer said “silver”. I have seen black rims like mine, so I assumed they came in two colors...silver and black. I was wrong. Now I have to pay 25% restock fee to return it. Tirediscounters told me they could order me one for $725. I should have just let them as opposed to trying to save some money.
