Can you help us out?

What car do you have?
Can you help narrow down which button you are pressing?

Have you checked if your car actually has Jaguar Voice? It was not available in all markets.

Even if you do have it it is useless. I did not even have the patience to get through it when I was testing it out the one time I suffered through using it. Worst designed POS I have ever seen.

I have to pull you up on that. Its accuracy is fantastic, far better than any other car I've used.

I do use it all the time, as its far safer to use voice to set a destination, or change radio, than fumble around a touchscreen at speed.

And I hardly speak the queens English

Accuracy is not the issue.

I've never been able to get mine to work. I painstakingly jumped through all the hoops as described in the owner's manual, only to be told that it cannot recognize me. Useless, so far as I'm concerned.

May we enquire why you think its rubbish?

Stating that its rubbish without elaborating isn't overly helpful to other people reading the posts

I'm fairly certain my book doesn't cover it. But it was so intuitive, it didn't matter. I pressed and released the button, it responded with "Say a command", so I said one of the commands listed on the dash. Then I learnt you could string some commands together. It just works.

I don't doubt you and I'm very happy for you, but mine does not work, no matter what you do. More trouble than it's worth!

Thats really interesting. I wonder if its more for British accent (though I'd find that unusual, its usually the opposite way round).

That's basically the conclusion I came to. The voice that was talking to me had a British accent. My U.S. accent is essentially "southern drawl" which perhaps confuses it. Any attempt on my part to imitate a British accent would probably be even worse! lol

The amount of time and commands it takes to do anything is 10x longer than just doing it. Too many commands, prompts, confirmations, etc to do even the simplest of things. Very poorly designed.

You can string commands together.

But we'll have to agree to disagree. I find the voice easier, quicker and far SAFER than arsing around with the touchscreen whilst driving.
