DPF removal for cleaning
Normally you don´t need to if everything is working like should. I have 184t mil (300t km) on dash and never cleaned it. (Note: Engine aircleaner(s) should be replaced in their time, since dust will not burn away from DPF like soot do, so DPF can fill up by dust particles. In the end, it is a particle trap)
If you need to clean it, its possible to remove it by lifting the car up and release pipe clamps before and after the DPF. DPF are sitting right middle of the car, with two input and two output pipes.
There are lot of methots to clean DPF. I usually start with just plain water flow with opposite direction as long as there are no soot coming out. (output to the white bucket so you see what comes out) Then correct direction same method and after that i add some cleaner solvent meant for DPF:s.
