I added DRL a couple of months back and they worked/looked great. One side stopped working, troubleshooting revealed it was the controller...no voltage output.


So I replaced the controller with one below....claimed to be simpler by not requiring a ground wire. Well, it's not working on either side.


But, when I reset the electrical system according XDave, the added DRL flashes on and off until the delay timer expires. The black or negative wire reads 7.09 Volts with engine off, and 14.XX while running. The red or positive wire reads 12.4 volts off and .33 volts running.


Is there something wrong with controller or maybe this is not the correct one. I'm going to reorder the first one again either way to have on hand, but wanting to know if there's something I may be doing incorrectly?


Lastly, there is a white wire for "wide light" that's in on the side of the controller module going to the battery. Does that need to be connected somewhere?
