When i start a cold engine i hear a rattle for about 3 seconds. When engine is hot it rattles for 1 second. When i stop it and start immediately again it doesnt rattle. Engine has 150k km. has anyone experienced it? I think it can be a chain tensioner? And it rattles until oil pressure is not up? What you think?

one time i had an elongated distribution chain, which they tried to fix by re inserting the same chain twice and it was constanttly rattling. the chain and poulie needed to be changed finally. I hope you find a quick reolution

 

sounds like it may be oil pressure, i'm not sure if Jag uses any chain tensioners that are adjusted by iol pressuer, but this may be what is happening. Are you sure you are using the proper oil as Jag is very particular of the viscosity and that it is the proper specified synthetic oil by Castrol.

 

Yes, ive changed oil recently. Not Castrol, but Kron Oil - Elvaldo LSP 5W30. Rattle is still present, but only as i said - on cold start.
