Engine start up differences
Here are two videos that showcase the engine start up and exhaust sounds of the 2009 XF Supercharged and the 2011 Jaguar XJ N/A engine and SC engine. I know the 2009 XF has the 4.2 liter V8 and the new XJ has the new 5.0 engine but the engine start up sounds different to me. Does anyone know if there is much difference in the exhaust on the XF and XJ? I also noticed the XJ’s exhaust “pops” more. J (you can jump to 1:28 on the XF video and 1:30 and 17:03 for the XJ startups)

The second video while labeled supercharged is not a supercharged model. If it were the side vent would have supercharged in it and also in the video he describes it has the 385hp model.
He actually demos both the N/A and Supercharged in the second video. You may need to forward the video to around 17:00 to see the black Supercharged. The Caviar shown is the N/A engine. I do like the way the exhaust sounds on the 4.2 engine in the XF video
