False “Windscreen reservoir low” warning
Hi
Shortly after having a new battery fitted, a warning message appeared on my dashboard indicating the windscreen wash reservoir was low. I checked, found the water level was NOT low, topped it up anyway...but still the warning sign comes on every time I turn the ignition on. The “one-shot” electric window function was also not working but I managed to reset these thanks to advice on the Internet.
I strongly suspect the battery disconnection caused this faulty warning to appear.
Does anyone out there know whether, if I were to disconnect the battery again, leave it for a while and then reconnect it, would this reboot the car computer to, hopefully, clear this annoying false warning message?
Thanks

Try to run reservoir empty and then fill it up again, so just ignore the warning for now until you have used all the fluid. (not sure it will work, but worth to try)
My previous car (Peugeot 607) had expensive taste of windscreen fluid. It did not regonise cheap/supermarket fluids at all. Only expensive branded ones turn the warning light off.
"One-press" windows function are lost every time when battery are disconnected pretty much in every brand. Re-calibration process are in handbook too.
