FYI: Latch hook on the console stopped working so that the console wouldn't stay closed (50,000 miles). Looked like there was something wrong with the spring mechanism that pushes the latch out to catch the console lid when closed. The latch hook that holds the console closed apparently has a predisposition to stop working at some point according to my dealer. The fix was to replace the part $350 plus labor $250 or they had a modification that they figured out from experience that is durable and would only cost the $250 to do. I chose the mod as the new part is going to break the same way at some time in the future.

Just to be clear the push button wasn't sticking which is what I think that link is referring to unless I'm wrong. I hope that doesn't happen to mine. But based on that link at least I will know how to take it apart next time to fix myself.

What I am referring to is when you have pushed the button, the console opens up. Inside is black plastic hook coming out of the console that is spring loaded. This holds the console lid closed. That is what broke on mine. I'm going to ask the service rep for a description of what they actually did and if he tells me will post on here.
