Default Garage door remote

The garage door remote on my 2013 xjl mirror does not want to hold its programming. Anybody have any remedies?

I never had a problem with loss of programming, but have had lots of problems with reliability of Homelink, semi, incompatibility with the newer Genie/Overhead Door openers. So we changed our openers to Liftmaster/Chamberlain and added a Homelink Comparability Bridge Kit. This can often be sent free from Homelink is you call them. In any event I would suggest calling Homelink and they may be able to assit you.

No problems with the Homelink transmitter in my 2013 XJ and my Chamberlain rolling code garage door opener. I don't have the Homelink Compatibility Bridge Kit that XJsss mentioned.

The 3 vehicles in my signature plus my daughter's Buick Enclave all have their Homelink transmitters programmed for my garage door opener. I had to program all 4 at the same time; otherwise, only the last vehicle programmed would work and the others with older programming stopped working.
