This person doesn't know much about automobiles, seems upset and indicative about being a novice buyer of them, but does have a knack for writing.

My advise: ignore his totally unsubstantiated ramblings.

That is the way most of the uniformed perceive Jaguar. I hear it all the time,in reality we know different but it makes for excellent buys on used Jags.

Reliability is a relative thing. I highly doubt the Jaguar is more (or less) reliable than any of the other cars on the list!

These days, cars are very reliable in general. I don't have any qualms about buying almost any brand of car anymore.
