hi there ive just bought an x351 portfolio, im having some trouble getting around the media system, first of all is there any aftermarket way of having a rear screen in there hooked up with the front ?

Congratulations on your X351.

No Replies to your questions as I write this. Thread titles are crucial to attracting attention from those with interest or knowledge about questions you are asking. Something like Media System-Screens and DRL-aftermarket options? gets the attention of members who browse threads and only open those of interest to them.

Also Model Year makes a big difference to fitted features and options. This is why we ask members to add these details to their forum Signatures.

I've just looked through the 2014 X351 Drivers Handbook and the media certainly offers an amazing array of possibilities for Audio, DVD and TV!

I know that Arden in Germany makes a DTL that goes in the brake vent opening, also, there is a hack for the signature lights in the bottom of the headlamp cluster and I'll attach that. As for your AV question I have a 2013 and it can have the same movie front and rear, but here in the USA, we cannot see the movie in the front when the car is in motion. I believe in the EU and UK there is the ability for a passenger to view movies in motion as they offer a screen that is "split". So while the driver sees car related menus and NAV the passenger can view other programming.

Thanks for your obviously knowledgeable response. But for us newcomers, what is a "DTL"?

If that is the meaning, one would think DRL would be used rather than DTL as the latter makes no sense at all, but thanks for sharing.
