I noticed that my steering is very light when car is started in the morning, then parking is very nice. But after i drive it - it never becomes light again. I know this is servotronic doing its thing. When car is driven fast - it tightens the steering. But i want to be it light all the time .How do i make it? Maybe i can disconnect some servo switch or something ? X351 - 2011 - 3.0D

IMHO, removing the speed sensitive feature is flirting with danger. Can you imagine if the steering sensitivity was in operative and you were doing 100mph and sneezed you would swerve off the road in a heartbeat. I do concur that the steering at stop or low speeds should be easy, but at speed the firmness keeps the XJ centered and in a straight line.

 

I dont sneeze at 100mph. That not what i was asking, anyone knows how the system works? I had audi s8, and after disconnecting the servo switch - steering was heavy still.
