Anyone have a good link to an engine parts diagram? I tried the "sticky" section, and page comes up blank.
I'm trying to identify a hose, and I need to know what part number it is (Vacuum hose) or at least get the hose diameter and correct fasteners. The Jaguarparts.com is very all over the place with parts and diagrams, and can't seem to find the right section.

I'm trying to see what size this vacuum line is. The one on my car must have been placed there by another mechanic, and it is loose. It's a vacuum line and I'm getting "Restricted Performance" alert on dash because of it. (I think).

I dont see that pipe as a separate part in my Jag parts manual but the 2010 to 2013 Range Rover has the same pipe and it does have its own part number - LR011342

I cant help with the size//diameter but a quality fuel hose of the correct dimensions should work provided it has a thick wall.

Seeing as it's the exact same engine and supercharger as shown in the OP's pic that hose should fit on his Jag.
It's the hose which runs from the vacuum operated supercharger bypass valve into the back of the intake Y-pipe, on later AJ133 SC and AJ126 engines that valve is electronic rather than vacuum controlled.
Looks like it may be difficult to source that hose (even the LR version) by itself and you may need to buy a whole new bypass actuator valve just to get the hose.

 

6K683 is the diagram number or call out number - not the part number which is LR011342. For some reason the Land Rover Microcat manual uses these diagram numbers and when selected, it shows the correct part number and it also shows the VIN it applies to. (unfortunately the Jaguarlandroverclassic website only shows the images and are not selectable although it is my go-to site for prices)

 

Yes SC bypass hose ONLY for the vacuum controlled bypass valves.

Don't see it listed and I think it's just a plain bit of vacuum hose cut to length?
Found one on EBay and seems way over priced at $50! I would take yours off and see what the parts place has. Should be a cheap and easy fix?

Wow, AJ811964 looks to be a new part. When I replaced mine on my 2012, in 2020, the dealer stated I had to buy the entire supercharger rebuild kit with snout and all for a whopping $700. (I called a few to cross check bad information).

I ended up using a same ID/OD silicone hi temp hose (good to 500F) from a racing store nearby. It was $15 cut to length.

 

You're not getting the restricted performance because of that hose. I broke the nipple connecting that hose to the intake so i removed it and it's no issue. The bypass actuator is detecting the difference between the pressure after the throttle body and before. when the throttle body is closed there is a lower pressure vacuum after the throttle body and that opens the supercharger bypass. When you open the throttle there is no pressure difference and the bypass is closed allowing the supercharger to work. Now the difference between regular atmospheric pressure and the pressure in the intake is negligible to the operation of the bypass actuator.
