Jaguar xj rmps
My rpms go to around 3000 when I start up the vehicle In till the oil warms up it drives fine beside that I took it to the shop and they didn’t seem to concerned they acted like it was normal but it just started happening

Yeah, that's certainly NOT normal. You say it runs and drives fine? Hmmm. I would probably look for an air / vacuum leak - but in my experience with chasing air leaks on Jaguars; idle quality and brake performance takes a significant dive when leaks are present. So, maybe the ETV is going out? There's no codes?

turns out I had a vacuum leak around my throttle body

Glad you found the solution.
I had the exact same thing happen with our 3.0L in our 2014 Range Rover Sport (same engine). I used a smoke tester to find the leak in the symposer (sp?) hose at the back of the engine. It was causing lean codes on the right side of the engine. I custom made a blanking plate for that silly thing that never should have been installed from the factory, and all the problems went away.
Check out this video around the 23:30 mark. He shows exactly which hose went bad on my car. My hose visually absolutely fine with no signs of cracking, but the smoke test proved otherwise.
That's absolutely ridiculous that your mechanic thought this condition is normal.
