Seen a few pictures of the gps / map on the dashboard ( where the rev counter is ) .. is not possible with a MY2014 XJ ? Only with the new ones with the updated graphics ?

My MY2013 has it... however you only get turn instructions when you have a route programmed.

i.e. Main map on the center console... turn instructions in the rev counter

 

No no....

What I've seen in the 2016 dash is you can select the MAP option :




Then the whole dash turns into a giant map :



Is this possible in our XJ's or only in 2016 onwards with the updated TFT resolution ?

 

That is SO COOL! I think it's new for '16.

 

The 2016 looks cool, but I would miss the dedicated tach.

 

The IPCs f/w are pretty much a same, so i suppose it's a matter of custom programming.
I have a plans to check and debug it, but i suppose i will not have time till the end of the month, have to finish a debugging of a F-type SVR tune in a regular F-type
