Massaging Seats
I posted this on the XF forum, but as this is primarily an XJ question, I feel I may receive better answers here about it...so thanks in advance!
You can probably add this question to your list of dumbest questions ever, but I just have to ask.
Recently, a hotel I stayed at had a fleet of complimentary chauffeured 2012 Jaguar XJ L sedans. I utilized the service a few times (edit: as many as I possibly could) and loved their massaging seats.
My question is this: Do any of you know if it is a separate unit in the seat that i could have installed in my XF seats in any possible way, even If the seats had to be opened or something, or is it impossible? Would I need a new seat altogether? Hopefully not, I'd love to do it if possible. It was an amazingly comfortable feature to have!

You should check with a dealer's service dept. but, I would bet that it is NOT transferable into an other type seat. Even if someone could figure out a way to implant the unit, the likely labor cost would be higher than getting new XJL seats and installing in the XF.
Hmmm... I turned mine on a couple of times for a few seconds, just to see what they would do but, have not given them a thorough test. Maybe, following such a great review from you, now I will.

It would be difficult to do. The messaging seats operate on a medium speed CAN network. That means replacing wiring harness, control module, seats. Very involved. So it could be done, but it would be $$$$$$. Maybe the XF will come out with this option in the future.
Rosenthal is my choice if I am in the DC area...lately I've been up in the Pittsburgh area so I've been going to Bobby Rahal which is a great dealership.
