It's not Fords problem. Jaguar designed it completely. The only involvement with Ford is the old manufacturing agreement left over from the sale of Jaguar to Tata Motors. There has been about 6 different part numbers for the water pump so it's been a known and long running problem since the 5.0L V-8 was released back in 2009. Just make sure your running the latest and what seems to be the best so far water pump. The part number ends in 3909. These are usually not marked with any brand but do say Italy on the back side. The prior ones had Ford or Land Rover cast into the pump.
