Worth it to get it updated?

You've probably seen posts on this in the past, but the latest available update was several years ago and (IIRC) offered for somewhere around $120 back then.
I'll never understand why systems are and have been installed in cars that are too integrated into a car where they aren't replaceable or updateable.
Makes me appreciate the older cars where we could update the systems with the latest when we wanted.

You have a 2019 the last year of the XJ. I think it had an updated navigation system that used SOTA (Software Over The Air) updates? Those of us with older cars as Mark posted above are high and dry at this pint. No map updates since 2020 for the USB type updating.

Might be worth a call to a dealer?

Last year, local dealer quoted me $475 for map update.
I said "No, Thanks".
There's gotta be an easier & cheaper way...
