New Jaguar Forum Member
Hi there-
I'm an ex-automotive supplier engineering manager who retired to Mooresville (Race City USA} NC from Laconia, NH nearly four years ago to be near my new wife's and my son's families, and escape from the Winter weather that kept my '09 Corvette garaged four months of the year.
I recently bought a 2011 Jaguar XJL, with a Caviar exterior with Truffle/Ivory and Burl Walnut interior, some 32,000 miles of use, and have since have added "Jaguar" and "5.0" emblems to the trunk lid, Jaguar splash shields, Continental ExtremeContact DWS ultra-performance all-season tires, performed the 30,000 mile service plus the fuel injectors, and also updated the factory NAV (which still sucks big time, along with all the other user-unfriendly center console controls).
I'm still trying to get the Sirius Satellite radio and Homelink garage door opener working properly, but otherwise love the car.
For a limo sized vehicle it's handling and performance is remarkable; it's ride and interior quietness, especially with the Conti tires, are remarkable; it's exterior, interior, trunk and engine compartment appointments, and sound system are unsurpassed.
Being a relatively new Jaguar owner (my last being a '65 XK E type roadster) I certainly will appreciate any help you more experienced owners can provide.

Welcome to the forum, Caviar, Truffle, Walnuts, excellent color combination and the start of an excellent stuffing recipe. Forgive me I skipped breakfast. Here is the link I used for Homelink. It worked for both of my cars. HomeLink
The same dealership was also able to to get my Sirius Satellite Radio working properly, and adjusted the volume on the NAV so I can now hear the instructions more clearly. So, all in all, it was a good day.
I would love to post pics, and, as rumors have it, I might get a new digital camera for my birthday this week. Can anyone provide instructions for a rather computer illiterate old fart on how to accomplish this?

I was blessed on my 74th birthday to not only receive a Nikon COOLPIX L820 digital camera, but also a HP Officejet Pro 8600 Print/FAX/Scan/Copy/Web machine. I would love to replace that silly question mark logo with a pic of my beautiful XJL (X351) Jaguar, and also share some mods to it such as a high gloss burl walnut lockable rear compartment mini bar which I built from a cigar humidor, that straddles the rear floor drivetrain hump and holds six "nip" bottles, a leather covered flask and four stainless steel shot "glasses", plus a funnel. Unfortunately I don't know how to go about doing this. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
