Default New Owner Issue

Just purchased a 2011 XJ and have two issues. One of the front B&W speakers appears to be blown (popping noises) and the front moon roof shade will not operate. Sounds like the motor is bound up. I'll be taking it to the dealer today since it is under warranty but wondered if anyone else had experienced these problems and if they were well known issues. I'm new to the Jag family.

Not had these issues, I know its unlikely but the fact 2 electrical items are not working mean it "could" be a blown fuse or 2, its something the dealer will almost certainly check, the XJ has 3 fuse box areas if I remember correctly. one of them is in the boot, one under the bonnet, you might have to get the fuse layout map to see exactly which one relates to the speakers and moon roof but worth a check.

If its blown, you will see the fuse connector broken. THey are cheap to replace.

I can't speak to the speaker issue, but in early 351 XJs there was an issue with the shade mechanism and it was updated. There may have been a TSB about it.
