Default Owners with 2013 X351 and ACC as an Option - Request

Hi All...

Still pushing on the with retrofit Adaptive Cruise retrofit and constantly hitting a brick wall at present...

Are there any owners out there with a 2013 X351 with ACC as an option who can take a picture of their ABS Unit please?

Whats involved is...
  • Open Bonnet (Or Hood if from over the pond)
  • Remove the 5 trim clips on the passenger side plastic cowl panel that runs along the windscreen (not sure if ABS sits on the same side with LHD cars, but would assume so)
  • Lift up the panel - it will flex to provide access
  • Take a picture of the ABS unit, as clear as you can to show what letter (if any) is stamped on the top of the unit - It could be either B or C - I think on the earlier cars with the split module Adaptive Cruise, the ABS was stamped as ACC
I know its a big ask, but if someone could be so kind as to assist a complete idiot who spends most of his time taking a perfectly good motor car to bits, I would be grateful.

Currently have a Volvo ACC unit fitted to get round some physical damage to the JLR unit. Volvo unit is picked up by the network, but wont program to JLR spec at present.

Installing the correct JLR ACC unit throws up a multitude of ABS, EBD, ADM etc errors, so I am thinking that the ABS on my car will need to be swapped out.

Tried getting hold of XDave so hopefully he can give me some pointers.

Thanks in advance

Alex
