Default Parking Sensor - Easy Fix? Comprehensive fix?

Hello all - this will be the second time that the same rear sensor has been pushed in. Do you know a quick fix? If not, what is the permanent fix? Thank you all for your help.

You need to see if the plastic that holds into the bumper is broken. So remove the bumper cover and see what it looks like. If it's been pushed in before and has come out again you might need a new sensor assembly.

Thanks for your answer. Do you have any instructions on how to take off the bumper to examine this?

Do you have a service manual? If not get one they are cheap on EBay.
Well worth it. The stickies in this forum also have a free service manual download if you want?

It's not hard if you get under the car and take look. How good are you with DIY stuff? Any tools or a place to work on the car? I use two people to avoid scratching up the bumper cover. It's plastic so easy to handle but you really need someone to help when stabbing it back on and taking it off. I also put towels down on the ground under the rear bumper so you can just set the cover down close to the car.

But look close you MIGHT be able to snake your hand up in there and unplug the connection to remove the sensor. It's likely the plastic retainer has been broken from the sensor being pushed in. I have found it's a tough fight if you don't remove the bumper cover and that's very easy to do.
