As Peter Cook and Dudley Moor used to say.

After 6 years of contributing to the XJ forum and 8 years of enjoyment from two XJ’s a 2011 and 2017 tiss time to move on.
No. I’m not moving away from the Jaguar Marque.

Hope you enjoy the I-Pace. The current offerings from Jaguar aren't calling anywhere near enough convincingly for me as yet.

Well, I was hoping that the top-up diesel I put into the XJ on Saturday would last until the final exchange. It wasn’t to be, I’ve had couple of journeys added to my list of places to go things to see etc. So another partial fill up was called for and another chance to say cheerio to the Esso folk who have served me well for decades. @ about $6.00 a gallon it’s been a thirsty gal to satisfy.
Fingers crossed I’ll make it to the finishing line. LOL.

Since you quoted Dudley Moore, I thought you might want to follow his advice about how to properly maintain the paint finish on your new I-Pace. From the Dudley Moore movie "Crazy People":

In the above scene, Dudley Moore, the salesman, is explaining to Paul Reiser, the buyer, that this ad tells Jaguar owners to have their cars washed and polished by hand, preferably by a woman with a soft touch, in order to keep the paint like new.

I know it's an old movie, but some things never change.

Well,
I’ve been fortunate with my car washing experiences over the years and although my local hand car wash is often Male dominated there have been times where young ladies have finished the car off to great satisfaction
