Default Plastic Rattling Noise When Playing Music

The bass is very nice on the Bowers and Wilkins sound system, but a problem I’ve been having is that I hear a plastic rattling noise every time there’s a bass note on my music. I feel like it comes from the center console but I’m not sure. I’m thinking of dynomatting the door panels and parts of the console. What do you think?

I would say get a paper towel cardboard tube and put it to your ear and pinpoint where it's coming from. Then figure out why. It could be a loose speaker or perhaps a loose panel or maybe a bad speaker. On the base system someone was saying they had a popping noise until they pushed in on the back of the speaker or something like that.

Check the passenger side front door speaker. Many have found this one to have a cardboard cap that causes the rattle.
No car details?
But I think you have a 2012?

Thanks for the heads up. The sound does seem to come from the passenger side front door. Does the door panel have to come off to access the speaker?

Yes don't try to remove the grill. Some have but it breaks really easy. The doors aren't hard to remove. There is a thread with step by step if you search for it.

Yes there is a thread and the fix seems simple so it's worth taking the interior door panel off to check.
