Procedure for using a floor jack.
I searched the forum and can't find a procedure for raising the car with a floor jack. My understanding is that cars with air suspension usually require one to change suspension settings so that self leveling is disabled. Does anyone know how to do this correctly?
Thanks in advance for the assistance.

I haven't learned of any special steps for raising the Jag when jacking for changing a tire, but I know my RR has to have a door open or the suspension fuse pulled to keep the suspension from raising when jacking. A Jag isn't a Range Rover, but the same basic practices probably apply. And a pulled fuse would disable it for sure.
I don't see why the procedure for using a floor jack would be any different from the procedure from using the OEM supplied scissor jack as set forth in the Owner's Handbook. Here's the page from the 2013 Owner's Handbook:

Because the Handbook is silent regarding jacking up the car and the air suspension, it would appear that a floor jack can be used at the same lift points as set forth in the Handbook, provided appropriate safety measures are followed, without regard to the air suspension. But to be certain, I suggest that you confirm this with your dealer.
I suspect that the X351 air suspension module has a jacking mode, as in the previous model (X350 and X358). When the system detects that the vehicle is being jacked, or raised on a wheel-free lift, the vehicle enters jacking mode, which inhibits lowering to prevent air loss. Jacking mode is exited when the vehicle is driven, or the ride height passes below a threshold value. See: https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...pension-99924/ and jaghelp.com: XJ ?
