Default Quad Exhaust Tips/Finishers

I'm not crazy about the stock OEM oval exhaust tips and prefer the look of the quad round tips on my XKR. Anyone have a source for aftermarket quad exhaust tips similar to these that will fit the X351 without modifying the tail pipes? Prefer and angled L and R.

They're from Spires in the U.K. but are way too expensive at Ł420 or $640. That's just for the tips! See: Quad Tail Pipes Note the unique design.

All of the quad tips I've seen are too long and would extend too far out past the bumper.

I'd like to keep the cost under $250 - way under. Ideas?

Stuart

Perhaps these could work. I've used these in the past and they are made well. I believe they have a variety of dimensions.

Thanks, they might work. I'll have to measure and let the forum know.

Default What Happened to The Photo and Link?

I noticed that my initial post no longer shows the photo of the Spires exhaust tips and the link to it on their website, so I decided to re-post that photo:

The link to their website isn't working because the have a new site coming soon: Spires :: new site coming soon

FrickenJag,

The compatibility finder on that link says that it won't fit the XJ. It's 11.5" long, which is way too big.

I'm not sure if any of the "universal" quad exhaust tips will fit the XJ without cutting the tailpipe. I don't want to do that, since I'd like to be able to put the OEM finisher back on. I've looked at a lot of tips and they've all been way too long.

I removed my OEM left side exhaust finisher to measure it, which was somewhat difficult, so my figures aren't exact. Because the outlet is angle cut from top to bottom, and because they are left and right, the shape is two irregular parallelograms with the top longer than the bottom and one side longer than the other.

Approximate dimensions are:
Inlet (inside diameter) 60mm
Length (top) 170mm - (bottom) 150mm
Width 170mm

I forgot to measure the height, but I'll do it tomorrow and update this post.

I'm going to stay with the OEM finishers until someone else finds a quad exhaust that works. I don't need the aggravation and have other, more important things to do.
