2015 XJ 3.0. Is there actually a physical "Mute" for the sound system??? Cannot find a button or a soft control. Thanks....

 

Just turn the small volume knob counterclockwise rapidly. Wasn't that easy?

I guess since those two options are available and so convenient; there’s no need for a mute button... even though the radio displays “mute on”.

 

On the Pre-2016MY IAM-based infotainment cars, you can reprogram the voice command button on the left steering wheel switches to act as a mute toggle button. You need to use SDD to remove the voice activate controls option from your car's CCF. If you really want that mute button, it is an option for you.

 

Yes, you press the small volume control. It is also the mute button.
