I saw a very small picture at the dealership yesterday for a Leaper/Spoiler package. I've seen the leaper installed on the hood of a 2011 XJ and really don't like it - it breaks up the line of the long, shapely hood. Plus, it's very expensive.

The spoiler shown in the teeny picture looked interesting but there wasn't much detail. The leaper/spoiler package was $1100 or $1200, but nobody knew if the spoiler was available separately.

Has anyone seen the spoiler on a real car?

 

I haven't seen the rear spoiler in person, only in pictures on the Arden website and on the special edition XJ that Galpin did for Jaguar it looks good in the pictures. I have looked on Jaguars website and asked the dealer but haven't been able to find anything on where to buy one. I wanted to install a rear spoiler on the car since the day I bought it, but havent been able to find one and the fact that it's so hard to find makes me want it even more.

 

Still no info from the dealer, even though that's where I saw the picture. I don't think it's an aftermarket part - it was listed as a package deal with the leaper, but who knows.

BTW, I've seen a leaper installed on the hood of a 2011 XJ and thought it looked awful. It really broke up the lines of the hood and looked... wrong. But it is definitely an individual thing.

I saw that Startech did an XJ that has a rear spoiler - this one looks similar to what I saw at the dealership. Some of the online reviews list the rear spoiler as an option, but I can't seem to buy one from my dealer.

 

Any luck on where to buy rear spoiler wing / lid for 2011 Jag XJL ?

Unfortunately, no. On a return trip to the dealer, I noticed that the picture of the leaper & spoiler package had been removed, and nobody was able to get any info on it. I have given up...

 

The leaper is and has been available for a while, however the rear spoiler is a mystery and like Barmats I have given up as well.

I have been on this forum for a while and I get the impression that most XJ owners are not real big on modifying their cars and maybe why there isn't a lot for it in the aftermarket.

It's a shame because the car has a lot of potential for it IMO.

 

This rear decklid spoiler thing is really pissing me off now. I as well as others have seen it in pictures but no one seems to know where to buy one. I have asked the dealer and they Don't know anything about it.

Today I was driving to work and while at the traffic light I notice that there is a white xj supercharged 3 cars in front of me as I look at it more closely I couldn't believe my eyes, I notice that it has the elusive rear decklid spoiler on it. As the light turned green I took off like a bat out of hell cutting people off to try and catch him and ask where he got it but he got on the highway on ramp and got away.

 

If you really want the rear deck spoiler you can buy it from startech.de It cost 487 euro.
