I want to replace the sway bar bushings on my 2012 Jaguar XJL Supersport. I believe the 31.5 mm will fit from powerflex USA. Can I distinctly replace these? A general mechanic said I had to replace the sway bar links? Could you please advise on all the parts necessary to do this?
Also, what is the part circled and what are those bushings?
Two different things?
The bushings hold the bar to the frame. The end links (Which you show) connect the sway bar to both front wheels.
None of your pictures show the sway bar bushings and be aware that they are NOT easy to change. Keep following the sway bar to find them.
The bushings look fine?
The lower item is part of the suspension.
I would be inspecting the rear suspension because it's very common to have bad sway bar end links and the rear toe rods.

I was eyeballing those bushings on the bar itself while I replaced the upper control arm boots. They looked ok but its hard to tell until you disconnect the links to free up the bar.
Seems like if you are already replacing the links you should tackle the bar bushings at that time. What makes those bushing difficult to replace? Is it just access is tight?
Thank you for the help. Yes, there a two bushings. What makes it difficult to change. I was told any mechanic could replace these. Should I take it to the Jaguar mechanic?

Which part / picture are the end links? Very difficult to tell from this picture. Thank you for your help.
Yes the sway bar bushings are simple to replace BUT access to the bolts is the problem. Don't think you need any special mechanic other than one that takes his time and watches what he is doing.
Just follow the parts diagram as #17 is called a "Stabilizer Link". Also note that this part fits many Jaguar's as it was used for many years across the entire Jaguar product line.
