replacement spark plugs
Hello from France
I would like to change the spark plugs on jaguar xj x351 with the compressor V6
Do you have to remove the compressor to access the spark plugs?
Is there a workshop manual for the xj awd gasoline model 2014?
I tried the forum links but nothing opens
THANKS

]thank you for the answer and clarification
The spark plugs would last the life of the car?
Currently my car has 115,000 km, so not urgent
Not speaking your language I use the google translator, be indulgent on language mistakes

Correct, no need to remove the SC to replace the spark plugs on the AJ126.
But it can be a real pig of a job as there is very little room to move to access the coils and then the plugs, especially the rear plugs.
Also the plastic/rubber covers over each bank are a real bear to replace.
Maybe a little more room and hence easier on an XJ compared to say an XF or F-Type but I doubt it.
Bottom line - not really a job for a first timer better to get it done by someone experienced.

No.
Spark plugs are to be replaced at 100,000 miles/150,000 kilometers.
UNLESS you have a diesel engine, which has glow plugs instead of spark plugs.
Check you owner's manual, it's in the service information.
