I went to Autozone to get some spark plugs and when they looked up the car and year they came up with some cheap genetic looking Champion "copper plus" number 89 plugs. Are these ok to use?

Champion are good plugs, I used them exclusively in my old car without issues. I still use them in my 71 Triumph Herald and they are fine. On this basis I wouldn't have any issues in using them in the XJ however I opted for Bosch Super 4s, which have 4 electrodes at the tip instead of one. I wouldn't use the NGK plugs, despite them being OEM Spec, simply because I don't like them.
