Default Revamped scuff plates

After not being happy with the scratches and brushed look of the aluminium scuff panels I decided to do something about it and give them a polished look in my 2011 portfolio. Started with a good clean with isopropyl alcohol. Used silicon Carbide wet sand paper and wet samded starting from 320 grit, to 400, to 600, to 800, 1200 and finally 2000 grit, then a couple of passes with Autosol metal polish and a microfibre towel 😁

Before

..and after 🙂

They look mint I love seeing before/after polishing photos! You could hit them with some good quality 2k clearcoat to give them some protection over time, but polishing is such a satisfying job that you might be better off making this a once-a-year job hehe
