Default Right Front Creaking noise below A pillar inside car.

Serious posts only. I only want posts from Jaguar Techs, not Jaguar owners. I have a creaking sound in the right front A pillar area. I have fixed the roof noise popping, but I have a creak noise that was there from the beginning, I just wanted to fix the roof noise first. I removed the cowl, tried spreading the body, placing foam between the windsheild and dash, etc... Any ideas. Once again JAG Techs only, I don't care for posts to this question by those who don't know the product.

I found out where the noise was coming from. It was coming from a body seam under the windsheild cowl. All is well.

Hi jaglover922.

Do you have more details I can pass to my dealer please, or maybe a photo? I have the same issue with my XJ and it's had the A-post rivet fix, but that didn't cure the problem. The creaking is driving me nuts.

Thanks.

It's the hood hinge. There is a TSB out for that. Dealer will replace hinge

After a couple of failed attempts to resolve the problem, mine went to a different dealer. They say they removed the dashboard, re-aligned it and the noise has gone - I haven't heard it for several months now.
