Sagging sun roof
I have a 2004 XJ8 with a sagging sunroof. The sunroof itself works fine but rather the material is what is sagging. The Jaguar dealer quoted me 7 hours to just get to it! Any alternatives? Thank you.
Lots of posts on the subject in here just do some searching.
The whole roof interior trim has to come down in order to take the sunroof shade out because the supporting sunroof structure has to come down to enable that.
Been there done that.

I "fixed" the one on my X308 with these :
Worth doing if only a small portion is sagging.
You might also find an auto upholsterer who will fix it (remove old fabric, glue new fabric to the liner) in-situ. Try one of those, or a body shop. Not a dealer.
Assuming it's similar to my X308, fabric glued to a solid board.

It is fabric with a thin layer of foam backing. The foam backing will come off the back of the fabric and will leave a residue on the board backing that should be brushed off before new foam backed fabric is applied.
It is not really that difficult to DIY with two people. Doing it on your own is a pita especially the glueing back on part.
