Default Shooting for the fastest x351 XJ SC XJR , what a difference so far!

So recently got my new addition; 2013 XJ SC , one owner car And is completely stock. Of course I could not pass up the opportunity to reprogram it for power. Now in 2013 they went with the new Bosch ECU instead of Denso which I am very familiar with and have great results but this ECU was a new to me . Took me a few weeks or so to figure it out And what a difference so far! The car is a beast. Michelin pilot sports are no longer keeping up with traction, Top end power is just tremendous! Will be taking it to a track soon! I believe it's 600 horsepower plus at the moment. Everything is completely stock other than the tune. Wow these engines have so much potential and there's way more since this tuning is very on the safe side.
Stay tuned!!

Met up with a friend if mine tonight to do some runs against his 2016 m6 convertible. His M6 is completely stock. I expected a close match but I did not think it would be this close. We were Starting from a roll from 20, 40, 60 mph but the issue was whenever one of us would start a little sooner that car would be the winning car on that race, Was funny actually. We probably tried six seven times and maybe only three of those were when we actually took off at the same time ,cars were pretty much dead even. We then exchanged 1/8 mile track data and to no surprise his best runs had identical trap speed as mine. I have to say I'm pretty impressed with the Jag. Not bad for a big lexury sedan to keep up wirh the top of the line BMW dedicated performance sports car! More powee to come!

With two pulleys and the better ECU you should be able to get around 640-650hp reliably on 93 octane. Anything more than that and the blower runs out of puff and there is just too much heat. At least that is what I have been told from my tuner.

So far we have tuned the fastest 5.0 xf xfr xfrs xk xkr xkrs cars. Our tuned 2010 xf sc is a low 11s high 10 sec car, hit 11.4 last week while leting off the gas . Power is 700+ hp Car has basic bolt on( top pulley only)

That is quite something, look forward to seeing your results. Yes these cars are monsters and as long as you can put the power down, they can fly.

Well I'm glad to report that my 08 XKR wheels that have better tires on them fit perfectly onto the XJ!
Time to set some records!
So far probably the best 0 to 60 out there

not bad to get 3.7 0-60 on a stock car with ECU reflash

Is this tune possible with the 5.0 SC with the old ECU?

I want to tune mine but M113K tunes have had me expect the price of great tunes to be $300-600 not $1500 everyone else is asking for the XJ

Yes of course I Tune Denso 5.0 cars as well and have tuned plenty of them. As a matter of fact around 2 months ago we set a record for the fastest 5.0 XFr XKr XKRS cars with a 2010 XF supercharged The car ran low 11 sec with projected power being over 700 hp. PM me for details on the tune I am pretty reasonable.

They were never out of line but was comparing it to my 4.2 car which stays lower. Apparently 5.0 cars are designed to have higher IATs , they run like that even stock. Of course The goal is to have it lowest as possible so I have upgraded intercooler pump, will add reservoir next, neither of these are a necessity on these cars tuned or not.

Alex.

What are your torque figures with that set-up? Just wondering when the gearbox will explode.

Well the 2010 XF we set a record on is puting out at least 100 more hp and torque, 700+hp on the older 6spd transmission and its doing just fine, and these new 8 spd supposed to handle even more so I think we are plenty good!

It's not too often that you see a Jaguar XJ, with what appear to be "drag radials" on it.......

There are Mickey Thompson's SS Street with 19 wheels from my XKR, not a full dedicated drag tire but still very good . Definitely help with all the extra power!

and there is the main reason for the very good times - my tuned XJ (supposed to be ~640hp) struggles to put the power down off the line, even with the fancy diff and PS4s. Extra sticky tires certainly help!
