Default Should I be concerned?

I'm in the market to purchase a 2011 XJL, Midnight Black with oyster interior. It is a certified vehicle with 31,000 miles and is selling for $43,900. It also includes the B and W sound system. But here is my concern. On the carfax report it states that the car originates from Iowa, it was in an accident in 2013, the headliner was replaced, and the sunroof was "serviced." Keep in mind this is a certified vehicle being sold at a Jaguar dealership. Should I stay away or purchase with confidence? I would greatly appreciate your feedback.

The headliner replacement and sunroof "serviced" may have been done to eliminate the "roof popping" noise that plagued some earlier models. As far as the "accident" is concerned, if the body panel gaps are all uniform and the paint quality is uniformly good, I wouldn't be too concerned

For the accident I would only be concerned about resale. I am surprised that it is a CPO car since I thought one of the criteria was an accident free history.

If you plan on keeping the car for many years, I would pass on the car. Over time, the paint can fade at different rates. Wait for one with no REPORTED accidents. Don't worry, there will be another soon for sale. FYI...Carfax only guarantees against no reported accidents, not that the car has never been in an accident.

Why jump into this deal when the 2012 lease back are starting to come in? The accident listed in the Carfax will hurt your ability to sell your car in the future and get top dollar. Get into a 2012 CPO without "baggage" or find another 2011. There are plenty to choose from.........

I agree w/ XJL. Last month I got a 2012 XJL Portfolio w/ 7300 miles. Got it thru
Ebay. Previous owner was 83 and he did not drive it much for the 2 yrs he owned it. If I were you I'd spend just a little more time looking around.
