Default Spark plugs

Was curious to see how many people have replaced the spark plugs themselves for the XJ 5.0. I know quite a bit people did on the XF, but it being a smaller car, the space for the plugs and coils was a lot tighter too. The XJ’s engine bay looks pretty roomy especially the SC.

This is something I need to look into soon what with my high mileage. Space was a big problem on my old 4.2 engine...the first time I changed plugs, it took nearly all day. Eventually I got it down to less than 30 minutes.

Same here. I’m at 70k so I need to change mine too. I got my 4.2 SC plugs changed by my independent mechanic, he only charged my for 1 hour labor. He must’ve been used to it lol.

It does look like a tight fit (on the 2012 5.0 NA). I took a look and can reasonably get to the front-right cylinder (left side of engine, looking from in front), I think I'll ask the mechanic, both indy & dealership, if no one on here responds with experience changing them.
