Default Squeaky driver side mirror when locking the car

Seem to be drowned in problems at the mo

When I lock my car, the driver side mirror is very squeaky as its comes inwards. I've tried WD40 all around the gaps and joints, but still very squeaky as it closes, not too bad when it opens.

Anyone else had this?

I had to replace my cap when the mirrors stopped folding. They were getting caught up on the bottom.

Check for plastic on plastic scratching between moving part and base.

Best!

Thanks dude, what do you mean by cap?

It does sound like plastic on plastic or something rusty, did you have to remove anything?

One of mine occasionally makes a little squeak when folding. Kind of endearing, really.

On mine, it was the back of the mirror (body colored part). We took it apart and reassembled. There are tabs and one had broken causing sticking and scraping along the black base piece.

It does sound like plastic on plastic on mine too, will see if I can do anything about it.
