I have an issue with my jaguar xj 2010, if there is any solution please.
U got before a while dead battery and after struggling to open the trunk and change the battery , reached to steering column locked and engine refused to start, even though i can use the smart key to open, lock and ignition on …
Several electricians and experts have been working to check all the fuses , wirings and trying reprogram but failed..
The codes which got on different scanners:
B1009-64
B100d-96
B100d-87
And steering column locked (permanent)
Please if there is any advise to know where the fault is .
Am grateful to your answer .

Am grateful to your answer .[/QUOTE the steering column locked warning arises due to a faulty lock module which will need to be replaced, cost of module £300 approx plus 3hrs Labour. The module needs a signal from the rear RJB and front CJB to lock/unlock, so if it receives the two signals but fails to lock or unlock means the pin is not dropping into the column or retracting from it. The new module will require programming and if your battery was dead or shorted internally possibly both CJB and RJB will require flash programming as the EEPROM will be corrupted. This can only be done by Jaguar service dept or an independent Jaguar service company with a verified Jaguar SDD software programme
