Default Water on Rear Right FootWell

Good evening,

Today after vacuming the car I have discovered the footwell of the rear right seat is soaking wet. I removed the side trims to access the carpet, and underneath there is a massive pool of water and all the thick foam is completely drenched, like a sponge. I squezed it and vacumed for almost an hour but it's still very wet so tomorrow I will need to dismount the seat and interior to remove the carpet and dry everything well. There are so many cables and modules under the drivers seat (UK car) so I hope they still work.

The question is, where is all that water coming from? It has rained a lot so I assume it cannot be from the air conditioning as I only used the car once last week. All the side of the car is completely dry, the ceiling is completely dry, it's like it's coming from underneath!

Could it be from the sunroof? Where are the draining tubes? What else could be draining there? It's not a small amount of water, it's literally liters of it.

Thank you!

Odds are, you've got one or more sunroof drqins plugged. Here's where they are located:

So, I found the leak. The bulkhead grommet was off!! The previous owner had a tracker installed when he bought the car new, I assume they didn't fit it correctly and over the years it moved. It was a pain in the *** to push back, but with some grease and pushing through the wheel arch (had to completely dismount it) I could put it back, and I also sealed it just in case. After 2 weeks for the carpets to dry, I put it all back together, it was a big job but I'm happy I did it on my own and fixed it:

Oh goodness, that's a lot of disassembly. Great job on the DIY fix. I'm a bit disappointed by the lack of even paint coverage in some of those interior areas considering this was a six-figure car when it was new.

Hi, nice job but the photo doesn't show where that loose grommet is. Can you zoom out a bit to show us?

Hi, the gromet is just behind the throttle pedal, itīs the only one there is on the driverīs side and takes all the harness that runs on the right side of the car.
